Job Description:
As a Dishwasher at The Tavern on Broadway, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning dishes, flatware, pots, and pans, as well as assisting with various kitchen duties. Key responsibilities include:

Dishwashing
Operate the dish machine to clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and properly stored.
Handle delicate items with care to prevent breakage.
Kitchen Cleaning
Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, including countertops, sinks, and equipment.
Follow sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Dispose of trash and recycling properly.
Equipment Maintenance
Regularly inspect and clean the dish machine to ensure its proper functioning.
Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Kitchen Manager.
Assist with basic equipment maintenance as directed.
Floor Care
Sweep and mop the kitchen and dishwashing areas to keep them clean and free of hazards.
Clean up spills promptly to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workspace.
Kitchen Assistance
Collaborate with kitchen staff and assist with food preparation and plating when needed.
Work as part of a team to ensure the efficient flow of kitchen operations.
Be willing to pitch in and help with various tasks as requested by superiors.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and sanitation procedures.
